The Amazing Capabilities of The Healy:

Digital Acupuncture & the 20 Meridians
Part 3

In our Healy, Digital Acupuncture & the 20 Meridians series, we’ve been discussing one of the fundamental elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine – the meridians – to build the foundation for how the meridians work and how you can use the Meridian Programs within the Healy to perform what we call ‘Digital Acupuncture.’

Digital Acupuncture & The Healy

The meridians are the nonphysical energetic pathways that transport our life force (also called chi, qi, prana, energy, divine essence, etc.) throughout the body. As we discussed in our last posts, this energy can become blocked in certain areas due to emotional, physical or mental stress, nutrition deficiencies, toxins, EMFs or even spiritual trauma. If one area becomes stagnated, it normally means that another area gets ‘overcharged’ and if left untreated, this stagnated energy can manifest on the biochemical and cellular level in the form of diseases, organ dysfunctions and other issues. For thousands of years, acupuncturists have used needles, acupressure points (shiatsu is an example) and heat to help unblock these meridians and not only treat diseases, but work to prevent disease within their community. It is said that during the advent of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncturists were actually paid to keep people healthy instead of treating diseases and when people got sick, they did not receive payment.

Instead of acupuncture needles, the Healy uses its proprietary frequency-modulated microcurrents and wireless frequencies to rebalance specific meridians. As we discussed in the How to Explain the Healy to Your Friend series, in the same way that an opera singer can shatter a glass with their voice by resonating at the same frequency as the glass, the Healy can use these resonating frequencies to modulate the microcurrents to target and rebalance specific meridians. We call this Digital Acupuncture. For a more thorough review of the meridians, check out our previous posts, Part 1 and Part 2.

The 20 Meridians

In our last post, we showed the long list of diseases and ailments from the University of California San Diego’s Center for Integrative Medicine that have “probable evidence” that they can be treated with acupuncture. From depression and schizophrenia to Bell’s palsy and fibromyalgia, acupuncture can be used to treat a wide range of different ailments because of the different ways the blocked energy within the various meridians can manifest. This is because the different meridians have different functions and locations. The root cause of the stagnation also plays a factor, as well as energetic predispositions, which we’ll discuss at length in an upcoming post.

We also introduced the 12 Meridians from Traditional Chinese Medicine in the last post:

  1. Bladder
  2. Circulation
  3. Gallbladder
  4. Heart
  5. Hormonal Balance (Triple warmer)
  6. Kidney
  7. Large Intestine
  8. Liver
  9. Lung
  10. Small Intestine
  11. Spleen-pancreas
  12. Stomach

In one of our upcoming posts, we’ll discuss each of their locations, responsibilities and symptoms in greater detail so you can start using the information you’ve learned in this blog post series to get started with your Healy and Digital Acupuncture. In this blog post, we’ll introduce the 8 Voll Meridians so you’re able to understand what they each mean if they return with a high relevance in a Healy Resonance Analysis.

Dr. Reinhold Voll & The Voll Meridians

As we discussed in our first post in the series, the 8 Voll Meridians were discovered by a German Medical Doctor and Engineer named Dr. Reinhold Voll in the 1940s who also developed his own system of electroacupuncture, known as EAV (Electroacupuncture According to Voll). While conducting experiments about the body’s natural electrical conductivity, he discovered that specific areas of the body had higher conductivity readings and electrical flows than others. These areas ultimately aligned with the 12 meridians from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 8 meridians that he discovered.

The Voll Meridians

In his book, Measurement Posts of the Electroacupuncture According to Voll on the Hands and Feet (by Reinhold Voll, M.D. & translated by Helga Sarkisyanz, M.D., 1982),  he names the 8 meridians he discovered as follows:

  1. Lymph vessel
  2. Nerval degeneration vessel
  3. Allergy or vascular degeneration vessel
  4. Organic degeneration vessel for the parenchymal and epithelial degeneration
  5. Articular degeneration vessel
  6. Fibroid and intestinal degeneration vessel
  7. Skin vessel
  8. Fatty degeneration vessel

After 40 years, a few translations and a little simplification to fit everything onto a phone screen, here are the names of the 8 Voll Meridians within the Healy programs (in the same order), as well as which of the 2 Meridians Programs they are in:

  1. Lymphatic System (Meridians 2)
  2. Nerve Meridian (Meridians 2)
  3. Allergy Meridian (Meridians 1)
  4. Organ Meridian (Meridians 2)
  5. Joints (Meridians 1)
  6. Connective Tissue (Meridians 1)
  7. Skin (Meridians 1)
  8. Fatty Degeneration (Meridians 1)

Unless you work in the medical profession, the names the Healy uses for the Voll Meridians is probably much easier to understand.

The Lymphatic System Meridian, as the name implies, is responsible for much of your lymph system, which is a large part of your immune system – detoxing the body and helping it fight off infection. The Nerve Meridian correlates to your body’s nerves and the Allergy Meridian corresponds to your body’s allergies and allergy response system.

However, as you can see, different from Traditional Chinese Medicine, in which the meridians are associated with a specific organ, the Voll Meridians are more associated with organ systems or types of tissue located throughout the body.

In our next post, Healy, Digital Acupuncture & The 20 Meridians – Part 4, we’ll begin to talk about using the Healy’s Resonance Analysis to see which Meridians return with a high relevance for you and we’ll begin to discuss the 5 Steps for Proactive Treatment with the Meridians Programs.

Stay tuned!
